Visiting Santa is a unique experience here at the Magical Christmas Market Balbriggan. Children are invited right into Santa’s living room complete with a real warm log burning fire. Chat with Santa and his elf. Get your photo taken and Santa will have some lovely sweets for you.

Fantastic food options for all the family. Whether its time for dinner or a festive tasty snack we have it all. With a multiple food stalls serving street food, hand-specialties from the iconic Chalet à Fondue. Roasted Almonds, German Sausage, Hot Dogs and burgers. French pastries, pretzels or confectionery, crêpes and waffles. Food you can enjoy as you stroll around, take home or buy for Christmas gifts.

TRY BEER POKE
You have got to taste our unique BEER POKE. Beer poking, or Bierstacheln, is an old German tradition of plunging a red-hot metal rod into a glass of beer to caramelize the residual sugars, creating a foamy, marshmallow-like head and a toasted flavor. The process is used to warm your beer, soften the carbonation and bring out a new flavor, making it a perfect festive drink for colder weather. A must for any visitor to the Balbriggan Christmas Market.

We have more information coming soon about the workshops we will be holding during this festive period. Be ready for some lovely festive craft. Festive Egg Nog
A Serious taste of Christmas. This traditional holiday drink dating back hundreds of years, eggnog is made with eggs (hence the name), milk, cream, spices like nutmeg and vanilla, a little secret something from our chefs at The LaLa and fortified with rum, whisky, and/or brandy or you might prefer an alcohol free ‘Mocagnog’
Festive Hot Chocolate
Nothing captures the magic of Christmas quite like a mug of rich, velvety hot chocolate. Our recipe takes the classic winter warmer to the next level with rich classic chocolate, a hint of festive spices, and a mountain of delightful toppings. Will also be in abundance with stalls for Toys, Christmas Stockings, Ceramic Ornaments, Costume Jewellery, Stocking Fillers , Hats, Scarfs, Slippers and Jumpers, Sweets, Flowers , Wreaths – Something for everyone. With around 50 charming wooden huts, the market offers an array of handicrafts, design items, and unique gifts for all tastes. Buskers
The Balbriggan Magical Christmas Market will welcome some great buskers among them former and current students of the Irish Institute of Music and Song to further enhance your visit. Enjoy their Christmas selection , join in and support them .
Face Painting Mainly for children but not exclusively, we will have face painters on hand to add that touch of magic to your appearance.
Photo Opportunities watch out for the many great photo opportunities created around the market for your fun including a Christmas Market photo, stop off at Santa’s post-box, Food, Drink and Craft Demonstrations will be held throughout the season in the Amphitheatre. Watch out for the dates and times of some amazing demonstrations on all things Christmas provided by a great panel of experts- all free of Charge.

The Workshops will be limited to 2O persons, will require no experience but will require you to enjoy a few glasses of wine (or choice of non – alcoholic beverage) some wonderful Christmas style Charcuterie and the where with all to take home the beautiful work you will have done. Work Shops will last 3hrs from 7.pm to 10pm and cost €55 per person. Workshops will be limited and must be Booked Here
Live Carol Singing- in the Amphitheatre
Every evening and on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, Balbriggans Finest Choirs will be singing your favourite Christmas Carols live in the covered Amphitheatre, at the Christmas Market, grab a Festive Hot Chocolate or Mulled Wine and sing along as if there’s no one listening , after all it’s Christmas! and Admission is free.
